SLPS Hosts Open House At 33 Schools


I Love My Neighborhood School Event On Saturday, April 2nd

ST. LOUIS, MO. March 30, 2016 –The Saint Louis Public School District is opening its doors at 33 neighborhood elementary schools for a special I Love My Neighborhood School Event on Saturday, April 2, 2016.  All 33 schools will welcome students, parents, alums and community members from 9 a.m. until Noon.

The purpose of the first-ever I Love My Neighborhood School Event is to provide the schools with an opportunity to showcase their points of pride with the entire community.  Principals, teachers and students will be on hand to welcome visitors and demonstrate first-hand all the exciting programs and activities available at their school.

The first 100 visitors at each of the 33 schools will receive a free school supply pouch, filled with a pencil, ink pen, eraser, ruler and pencil sharpener.  All visitors will receive a free meal, and there will also be free temporary tattoos for the children.

Superintendent Dr.  Kelvin Adams is scheduled to visit several I Love My Neighborhood School Event locations and will be available for media interviews.  Please contact Patrick Wallace at (314) 420-5782 to coordinate an interview with him.
