Principal's Corner

    Linnel Rucker

    Hello Cougars!!!!

My name is Linnel Rucker and I am proud, excited and extremely pleased to be appointed Interim Principal of Clay Academy of Exploration and Civics!

My passion is to ensure all students achieve their highest potential. For children to reach their greatest potential and become lifelong learners, it takes a partnership of committed administrators, teachers, parents, support staff and students. It is apparent that this is a shared belief at Clay Elementary School, a school with a mission to educate all students so that they will experience academic and behavioral success to become productive citizens and life-long learners.

This year is going to be amazing as we continue to provide academic experiences for our students that are rigorous, relevant, and help them build relationships while making real-world connections.  As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-are excited to be here!  This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment.  My door is always open and I welcome your input.

I look forward to seeing each student at Clay Academy of Exploration and Civics, meeting their goals and having a successful school year!

    Linnel Rucker
