Hello Woodward Students and Families!

I am thrilled to serve as the librarian for Woodward Elementary School and am looking forward to a wonderful year with our Woodward Wildcats! As your school librarian, I am committed to providing a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive learning environment that supports, encourages, and celebrates the needs and interests of our amazing and diverse students. Through our library, all 21st century learners will be encouraged and empowered to grow as skillful researchers, ethical users of information, responsible digital citizens, and enthusiastic readers.

Although this is my first year with SLPS, I have over 16 years of experience teaching PreK and elementary school students. I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching Library Media in 2020 and am certified as a K-12 Library Media Specialist. Prior to becoming an educator, I worked with children and families as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, photography, and reading. My favorite genres are realistic fiction, narrative nonfiction, & biographies...I love to learn about the life experiences of others!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via email with any questions about the library or ways in which I can support your child. I am looking forward to partnering with the Woodward community!
