Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Teffany Gladney-Black and I am the ESOL teacher at Oak Hill Elementary. This is my fourth year at Oak Hill Elementary and it has been extremely rewarding for me. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Care Management from Lindenwood University. Currently, I am working towards my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
I believe as a teacher it is our responsibility to create a learning enviornment that is safe and one that allows a child to feel he or she is able to be themselves. It is my belief that all children are capable of learning and that each child contributes a unique and creative piece of themselves to the learning enviornment. Overall, in doing so, it enables students to interact with others, learn from their experiences, and hands-on learning activities which are all part of learning.
Finally, in order to ensure students are motivated, life-long learners, I must take the lead, and lead by example. I will always strive to express my dedication to student success, and convey my passion for learning.
