Mr. Jared Lubell

Welcome to Physical Education! My name is Jared Lubell and I am the PE Teacher at ETS at Madison. I recently moved to St. Louis from Baltimore, Maryland to begin my teaching career with Saint Louis Public Schools. I am currently in my third year of teaching and my second year teaching Physical Education.

Prior to beginning my teaching career, I worked in the sports and recreation industry in a variety of capacities. I found that the most rewarding aspect of working in sports was the many opportunities I had to work with youth and young adults. Through these experiences, I realized that I had a strong desire to make an impact on the lives of young people and ultimately decided to make education my life's work. My passion for education shows in my work every day. My teaching philosophy is aligned with the whole child approach to education, so in addition to educating your student about sports and fitness, my lessons focus on social emotional development. In my classroom, your student will be empowered to reach their full potential and develop skills in leadership, interpersonal communication, conflict management, collaboration, and citizenship.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing and watching sports, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, dance, spending time with my family and friends, and traveling. I have visited nearly all 50 U.S. states and traveled abroad a few times. One of my life goals is to visit as many different countries as possible in order to immerse myself in different cultures and expand my world view.

I am very excited to be an ETS at Madison Lion and lead our school's PE program. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you or your student have any questions or need support. I look forward to working with you!
