Hello! I am Mr. Pavon, this is my third year teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies at Lyon. I am also the athletic director here at Lyon, as well as the boys basketball and flag football coach. I am originally from Des Moines, Iowa and attended the University of Iowa - Go Hawks! -  where I double majored in Secondary Social Studies Education and History. I am very passionate about Social Studies and teaching young people how to actively participate in society and be the change that we need. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy hiking, traveling the world, cooking, spending time with my fiancé, playing with our three-year-old German Shepherd, Kobe,  and, of course, cheering on the Cardinals, LA Rams, and Iowa Hawkeyes.
