  • ARRIVAL PROCEDURES - 9:00 - 9:20 (Start time is 9:20)

    Buses arrive and are dropped off in the back parking lot near the playground. No parents or staff may park in the back lot.

    Parents dropping off students may drop off as early as 9:00 a.m. Please pull over to let your child out on the sidewalk safely. Please only let your child out if a staff member is present to receive them at or after 9:00 a.m.

  • DISMISSAL PROCEDURES - 4:17 - 4:30 (Dismissal is at 4:17)

    Buses will drive into the back lot to pick up bus riders. Teachers escort students to buses.

    Students getting picked up will be directed to the front door foyer to wait with staff. Staff will escort students to parents' vehicles. Please pull over to let your child enter your vehicle safely from the sidewalk. Please pick up your child by 4:30 p.m.

    Parents/Guardians must call the office by 3:30 p.m. and speak to Secretary Ms. Moore-Blackmon or Principal Quimby to inform us of any changes to dismissal. Parents/Guardians may also send a written note with the child to give to the teacher on the day of the change. However, it is better to call the office at 314-932-5720.

  • Do NOT send your child to school if they have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, congestion/runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, headache, fatigue, muscle or body aches, difficulty breathing, or loss of taste/smell.  Check your child carefully each morning.  If a child is found with any of these symptoms while at school, they will be sent home.  It is best to keep your child home if you are unsure.

Important Announcements

    • Breakfast is served from 9:00-9:20 and offered for latecomers

    • Classroom teaching begins promptly at 9:20 with Morning Meetings and Announcements

    • Walkers and Pick-ups are dropped off and dismissed at the front door on 9th St.

    • Bus riders are dropped off and dismissed at the back lot, playground door

    • We do not have a uniform requirement - our Dress Code Policy is linked on the website: Students should wear school-appropriate and weather-appropriate clothing with closed-toed shoes for safely moving around.

    • We are continuing with one-to-one iPads to integrate technology into instruction

    • All students are expected to follow guidelines and expectations in the Student & Family Handbook and the SLPS District Code of Conduct
