Welcome to the new school year at Lyon Academy! I hope you have all enjoyed a restful and enjoyable summer. As we prepare to embark on an exciting new school year, I am thrilled to share some important information and updates with you.

Theme for the Year: Readers are Leaders!

At our school, we believe that strong reading skills lay the foundation for leadership. When students read regularly, they build knowledge, vocabulary, and critical thinking; all key traits of confident, capable leaders. Reading also encourages empathy and understanding, helping students connect with others and make thoughtful decisions. This year, we’re inspiring our students to turn the page and step into their leadership potential: one book at a time! 

Open House

To kick off the year, we invite you to join us for our Open House on August 15th from 12:00-3:00 PM. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teachers, explore the classrooms, and learn more about the exciting curriculum and activities we have planned. We look forward to seeing you there!

First Day of School

Classes will begin on August 18th, with the school day running from 8:20 AM to 3:17 PM. To ensure a smooth start to the day, our doors will open at 8:05 AM, allowing students to enjoy a nutritious breakfast before classes begin.

We are eager to welcome both new and returning students for a year full of learning, growth, and discovery. At Lyon Academy, we know every great leader starts with a curious reader. By helping students grow their reading skills, we unlock the talents that make their learning adventure unforgettable!
