Principal's Corner

    Welcome to Shenandoah Elementary School!!

I am eager to welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year. This is my fourth full year as the principal of Shenandoah and my 16th year in SLPS. The past year and a half has been so challenging, but I could not be prouder of our attitudes and accomplishments. Despite the stressors put on families, teachers, and students, we continued to see students work hard, mature, and develop perseverance. Our technology skills and communication improved beyond imagination and we learned to be more creative, flexible, and appreciative.

Strong family engagement has always been a critical part of student success at Shenandoah. Parent/Guardians are a child’s first teachers and important role models. Every parent/guardian can help their child to be prepared and responsible in school. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or Ms. Morris at any time with questions, concerns, and suggestions.

Due to the pandemic, some of the same routines and procedures we modified last year will stay in place (I will post those later this week) during the year. As guidelines change, we will be flexible in adapting them and proactive in communicating this information to you. As always, please contact me if you have questions and concerns. I will always do my best to assist you.

I am beyond thrilled that our students are returning in person and can’t wait to see the progress they make during the 21-22 school year. I appreciate the trust you have for us here and thank you for your part in this learning community. I’m looking forward to another wonderful school year!
