Welcome to Ms. Melonie Brown's Class Page!

Hello! I’m Ms. Melonie Brown, and I am thrilled to be your kindergarten teacher at Monroe Elementary School for the 2024-2025 school year. This will be my fourth year with St. Louis Public Schools, and I’m excited to start this new chapter in kindergarten. My background includes a year of experience in Pre-School and a few months working as a building substitute. I absolutely love exploring early literature and math with young learners!

A little bit about me:

I’m 31 years old and live in Saint Louis, Missouri, with my wonderful eleven-year-old daughter. I recently graduated from Grand Canyon University with a bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration and am now finishing my Master’s in Elementary Education (1-6) and Special Education K-12 at the same university. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and reading series like The Twilight Saga, The Vampire Diaries, and Harry Potter. My favorite colors are green and pink. I’m so excited to be a part of the Monroe Dragons and look forward to a fantastic year with all of you!
