Ms. Heather Hollingsworth

I'm Heather Hollingsworth, LCSW, and I am new at Vashon High School as a trauma-informed therapist for the 2025-2026 school year.  I'm here to support students with the many challenges of being in high school that may arise - from dealing with the stresses of grades, friendships, jobs, extra-curriculars, friendships, peer conflicts, and dating, to handling difficult experiences at home or navigating complicated family relationships, to managing emotions that don't seem to calm or cool easily, to dealing with upsetting past experiences that don't seem to stay in the past.  I am here at Vashon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday.

If you're interested in talking with me, please use the link below to let me know so I can pull you from class:

What is therapy?
Think of it as a place to:

  • Talk freely about what's on your mind—friendship drama, family stress, school pressure, and more.
  • Learn skills to better manage tough emotions and cope with challenges.
  • Work through problems in a safe and judgment-free zone.
  • Find your confidence and feel more like yourself again.

 What happens in a session?
You'll meet one-on-one with a therapist to talk. What you share is private. You won’t be judged or told what to do. Your therapist will listen, offer support, and help you find healthy ways to deal with whatever you're going through.  Sessions will happen on site during school hours.
