Mullanphy is fortunate to have three congregational partners who work in different ways to support our students, staff, and families. Each congregation supports us with volunteers, supplies, or assistance so that we can best meet the needs of our students and their families, as well as be supportive of our staff.

The Faith-Based program is a thriving component of the St. Louis Public School story. The purpose of this program is to create and develop successful partnerships with area clergy and faith-based organizations as it relates to providing successful resources for all students. If students need mentors, tutors or just a group of persons to work on a specific project at the school site, members of the congregations, who show an interest, volunteer their time and talent in accomplishing a specific task. The mission is to make the school a better place for all students and to create a more “connected community” by involving faith communities within the fabric of SLPS.
In addition, Each month, Superintendent Adams also meets with pastors and faith leaders for breakfast as a way to keep them informed about evolving changes in SLPS.
Many area congregations, from a variety of faiths, have mentored and tutored students, participated in morning reading sessions, hosted sports camps, created and developed a peace garden and sponsored student and family holiday dinners. The contributions are extensive and the impact is far-reaching.
