  • The United Way of Greater Missouri (UW) has put together a resource page for families who need assistance with utilities, meals, senior services, and much more. You may also call 211 to connect with UW.
  • Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services COVID Line (general questions about COVID not specific to STL): 877-435-8411
  • Stray Rescue is opening its doors as a pet food pantry, providing a bag of pet food for anyone in need.
  • BJC is providing these Resources for Financial Assistance.

 I was born in Eritrea located  in East Africa.  Selam means “hello” in Tigrinya a language spoken in Eritrea. I immigrated to the United State at a young age. I am married and my husband Yemane and I are blessed with three wonderful children. I graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2004 with a Masters in Social Work. I have been working for the St. Louis Public School since 1997. My hobbies are traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with my family and friends.
