  • It is a privilege to be a part of Soldan High School's learning community!  As the Academic Instructional Coach, I work with teachers to ensure all students are receiving impactful learning experiences.  I support teachers by conducting classroom observations, develop and deliver professional development and training related to teaching and learning, assist teachers in analyzing student achievement data, and assist the school leaders in activities for the benefit of the school. I will always be a teacher at heart!  I see every Soldan student as my student.  Because of this, I will teach math with a sense of urgency and a sincere feeling of love for our student's future aspirations.

Virtual learning will be a challenge for students, teachers, and family members.  We will get through this! I will do my best to support teachers during these challenging times and ensure that every student is being challenged academically.  The best is yet to come!

  • Biography:

I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in sociology and mathematics from the University of San Diego.  While there, I was a member of various academic and community based organizations.  I truly enjoyed my time while at college and learned a tremendous amount of who I am as an indvidual.

I live with my husband and beautiful daughter, Amelia.  We have three pets: our boxer/red heeler mix dog, Asher, and our two chickens, Estela and Beba.

I moved to St. Louis when I graduated college to teach math at Gateway STEM High School.  In 2012, I recieved my Master's of Secondary Math Education from the University of Missouri, St. Louis.  I graduated with my Master's degree in Educational Administration from UMSL in 2019.  Hopefully in a few years I serve as a school leader in a secondary school.

At Gateway, I taught multiples levels of math!  I taught algebra 1 for 10 years, algebra 2, pre-calculus, and AP calculus.  I was involved with Cultural Day, our annual celebration of our students' diverse identities, and for several years I was a mentor for Gateway's robotics team.  I have also led the Show Me Costa Rica Project at Gateway STEM where we create experiential learning opportunities for students to study biology and Costa Rican culture in Costa Rica.  Our students learn entrepreneurship skills, public speaking skills, and gain international travel experience throughout the ten-month program.
