Homework Policy4th and 5th Grade MathHomework is aligned to the lesson that was taught in class that day. It is essential that students complete ALL classwork and homework assignments DAILY. Daily practice, provided through homework assignments, will reinforce the skills taught daily in class. Students must complete their math homework in order to be successful in math class.Time Allocation:Expect around 40 minutes of homework per night.

Frequency:Assignments are usually given Monday through Thursday. Homework is due the next school day. Students typically do not have homework on the weekends.

Purpose:Homework helps reinforce classroom learning, practice math concepts, and develop essential study skills. Students will be assessed on the homework concepts the next school day.

Communication:If your student is struggling with homework, it's crucial to communicate with me. There are parent letters posted on the curriculum page of this website that you can reference as you support your student with homework.

Late Work:Students must turn in any missed homework by Friday of the week that it is assigned.

Incomplete Classwork:In some cases, incomplete classwork may be sent home as homework for completion. ALL late/incomplete work must be turned in by Friday of the week that it is assigned.Parental Support:Parents play a vital role in creating a supportive homework environment, providing necessary supplies, and encouraging students. Please reference the parent letters on this website to support your student. You may also reach out to me to address specific issues you may have.
