• Dr. Franklin, Principal

    Mason

    Greetings,

My name is Dr. Stacey M. Franklin and I am the Principal at Mason School of Academic and Cultural Literacy. I began my career in SLPS as a Substitute Teacher in 2007 and I have been on the move since! As a sub for the district, I held multiple roles, such as filling long-term teaching roles, ISS (In-School Suspension) Monitor, and ICA (Instructional Care Aide).  My first SLPS certified teaching position began in 2012 as a 1st Grade Teacher at Mason ACL. I also taught 5th Grade math and science and my last teaching position was as a 3rd Grade Teacher. I worked as the AIC (Academic Instructional Coach) for five years and then became the Assistant Principal. I have a very long history with Mason ACL and under the leadership of Dr. Deborah Leto, I developed the leadership skills needed to transition into the principalship role. I am so grateful to be at Mason leading our students, staff, and community towards continuous growth and development. We are all lifelong learners joined together in this unique environment that promotes diversity and excellence. Thank you for choosing SLPS!

    In servitude,

    Dr. Stacey M. Franklin
