    About Mr. Lescher:

This is Mr. Lescher's eighteenth year in the Saint Louis Public Schools.  The first five years he served as an elementary teacher in Hamilton E.C.E.C.  Following that he spent two years as the assistant principal of Carr Lane VPA where he learned under the Leadership of former Principal Melba Davis.  After two years he transferred to Busch and became principal.

During his time at Busch Middle School of Character, Principal Lescher has built a character education program from scratch. He led our school to become a recognized State School of Character in 2015 and a National School of Character in 2016. He was recognized in 2015 as a Peabody Leader in Education because of his work with students in St. Louis.

Mr. Lescher is passionate about our school and our students. "This is my twelfth year at Busch and I still love it! I am extremely proud of our character education program, and I love that we have the distinction of being a National School of Character."
