I am a happy mom to my 6 year old Maddox, who will be in 1st grade this year, and wife of 11 years to my husband Matt. We have a dog named Lexi and a cat named Addy. We LOVE to go to concerts and discover all that St. Louis has to offer.
Last school year, I was honored to receive the 2020-2021 Educator of the Year Award in the category of School Support Leader for my role as Academic Instructional Coach in the St. Louis Public School District! It was a very exciting experience, and I am so excited to continue my work at Oak Hill as the School Principal!
I have been an educator in the St. Louis Public School Distrtict for 17 years. I started my career in August of 2005 teaching 6th grade Communication Arts at Carr Lane VPA Middle School. I worked at Carr Lane as both a 6th and 8th grade teacher for several years. From there I became a Consultant Teacher with the St. Louis Plan in 2012. In 2015 I began my work at Oak Hill Elementary School as the Academic Instructional Coach. Throughout my time as an educator, I have received Master's Degrees in both Educational Administration and Reading. My certifications include Birth-3rd Grade, 1st-6th Grade, Middle School Communication Arts and Science, K-12 Special Reading, and Building Level Administrator. I absolutely love it here at Oak Hill Elementary! The staff is amazing and works very hard to make sure their students have the best of the best. I am excited to see what we can accomplish in the 2021-2022 school year!
