Ms. Sample
Hello!
The 2024-2025 school year marks my eighteenth year at Woerner Elementary. After serving seven years as Woerner's Special Education teacher in the Self-Contained Cross Categorical homeroom and as one of the school's two Special Education Resource Teachers, I transitioned into teaching general education with a third grade boys classroom. I then moved to teaching a split classroom of Kindergarten and first grade boys for one year, followed by eight years of teaching our Kindergarten boys class. This year, I am excited to teach boys and girls together in our Kindergarten class!
I received my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Education degrees from University of Missouri-St. Louis. I have Career Continuous Professional Certification in the state of Missouri to teach Elementary Education (grades 1-6), Early Childhood Education (birth through third grade), Early Childhood Special Education (birth through third grade), Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical Special Education (grades K-12), and Special Reading (grades K-12).
I love to travel and Ireland is my favorite destination. My favorite pastime is watching the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a child abuse and neglect social worker and supervisor for the State of Missouri for several years.
Woerner Elementary is a wonderfully supportive environment for all students and I am thrilled to be part of this dedicated team of teachers and service providers!
If you have any questions or need clarification on any materials, please e-mail me at angela.sample@slps.org (this is the best way to reach me)! My office hours are during my plan period when students are in their ancillary classroom from 2:20 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. This is the time when I'm most likely available to read and answer emails/phone calls. You may also message me on our Classdojo.com page (you must register for an account there first).
If you are using a mobile device or iPad, please click on "Sample, Angela- Kindergarten" at the top of this page to see the drop box with links to several other pages, including our Welcome page.
I am here for our students AND I am here for you!💗Thank you!
