The Kitty Hawk Air Society (KHAS) is a team of dedicated scholars inside JROTC that meet a set criteria to be a member of the program. Cadets must:

- Maintain a 3.0 overall GPA each semester

- Maintain a 90% or higher in JROTC

- Maintain exemplary behavior standards

- Be recommended by their instructors

Cadets that are members of the KHAS are recognized in a ceremony where they are awarded a special badge to wear on their uniforms. At Soldan, our cadets in the KHAS offer an in-school tutoring program for any student in the school. Students can sign up through their counselor or through a JROTC Cadet and receive personalized tutoring in any subject from a Kitty Hawk cadet during lunch periods.
