Greetings Mason PreK Families,

Hello.  My name is Tracey Stanton and I am your child’s preschool teacher at Mason Elementary School.  I am so excited to have your child in my classroom this year.   I earned my Masters in Education at Maryville University and my undergrad in Early Childhood at Fontbonne Univeristy.

I thought that you might like to know a little bit about me since I will be working with your child. I am married and have 3 children; Natalie teaches 5th grade, Sean is a student at Missouri State and Michael is a sophmore in high school.  I was born and raised in St. Louis and love our city!   I have over 25 years experience in the field of Early Education.  This is my second full year at Mason teaching PreK.  Prior to joining the Mason team, I worked as a Specialist for four years supporting early childhood educators in their classrooms.  In addition, I spent 15 years as adjunct college faculty teaching various courses in Early Childhood Education and served as an University Supervisor at Webster University for 5 years working with PreService Teachers.  My passion for education started at a very young age.  I recall being in elementary school and knew I wanted to be a teacher!  So here we are in this new year for everyone!

In our classroom, we use the Project Construct framework, which is a hands-on, minds-on approach to learning.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.  The best way to contact me is through email or Class Dojo.  Each student will be given a unique Class Dojo code.  Additionally, I have a Google phone number that you can use to contact me throughout the school day since we are virtual!    I will respond weekdays within 24 hours.

Your Partner in Education,

Tracey Stanton
