    Welcome to Visual Art.

    Dear Parents, Guardians and Students,

Welcome you to a most spectacular 2017-2018 school year.

In visual art this year, I am ready to wow you with the power of line, shape, and color, as we paint our way through the seasons. We will be looking at the styles of various artists and creating fabulous projects as our focus towards excellence proceeds. It promises to be a creative, eventful, and inspiring year.

If you are a new student or a returning student, you can be sure that I will be available assist you in making this school year the best ever. You can reach me by phone at 314-241-7165 during my planning times at 1:45-2:15 and 3:05-3:25 pm each day. Please note that I am usually working on Professional Development, planning with other teachers, or working with students during this time. If I am unable to speak with you, please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as possible.

With the weather turning cooler and the days getting shorter, consider visiting one of many St Louis art museums. The new wing of the St Louis Art Museum is a real treat to visit and the city museum is lots of fun for all. Also, in Forest Park you may visit the Science Center and the History Museum. Both offer connections to the arts. Try strolling down Washington Avenue and peek in at the Sheldon, Contemporary and Pulitzer Museums and Galleries. You won't be disappointed!

Your continued support of Ames' visual arts program is deeply appreciated.

    Ms. Constantine, Visual Art
