Dear Parent and Students,
Hello! My name is Ms. Foster and I will be your child’s first grade teacher. I hope this letter finds you and your family healthy and safe. I am excited to be back in the classroom teaching first grade! As we begin this school year unsure how it will look or what procedures we will need to follow, please feel confident that I will help you and your child adjust to the changes and communicate updates to you on a regular basis. Together, we will work together to help your child grow socially and academically. I am looking forward to seeing each one of you on Monday, August 24th which is our first day of school.
In the envelope, you will find a “lion” that I am asking you to wear for the first two days of school. This “lion” will help me find you and our other friends easily. In addition, it is very important that you place your bus card in your book bag.
Listed below are the school supplies that I am asking you to bring the first day of school. Please label the supplies that have an asterisk.
- a book bag*
- 1 box of pencils – sharpened
- 4 – wide ruled composition notebooks
- Low odor dry erase markers
- 3 boxes of facial tissue
- 5 glue sticks
- 2 boxes of 24 crayons*
- 2 containers of disinfecting wipes
- 2 bottles of hand sanitizer
- 1 roll of paper towels
- 1 can of disinfectant spray
Have a wonderful, safe rest of the summer and do not forget to read! See you Monday, August 24.
