Degrees and Certifications:
I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the team here at Nance Elementary. I look forward to getting to know the staff and supporting them in their roles as they help to shape young people’s lives. I am committed to fostering a safe and nurturing school environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I firmly believe that every student deserves equitable opportunities to succeed, and I am dedicated to implementing strategies that support diverse learners and promote inclusivity.
I am a native of Cleveland, Ohio. I later moved to Kentucky where I earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Cumberlands in Early Childhood/Elementary Education and Instructional Leadership. I have had the opportunity to teach both kindergarten and 4th grade during my tenure as a classroom teacher in the Hazelwood School District and Normandy Schools Collaborative. Most recently, I served as an instructional coach/ literacy lead in Normandy Schools Collaborative.
Outside of my professional endeavors, I am a huge sports enthusiast. I enjoy watching, coaching, and participating in sports. I was a member of the first ever Olympic women’s wrestling team in 2004 held in Athens, Greece. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to audiobooks and helping with animal rescue.
