ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION

Due to COVID-19, the District will start the school year 100% virtually. Families were asked to select their preferred learning option:

VIRTUAL AT HOME

• Virtual instruction by SLPS teachers
• Instruction from 8:15am to 3:12pm
• Virtual support from school principal and/or teacher

INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT CENTERS

• Housed in schools
• Limited number of students per site
• Virtual instruction by SLPS teachers
• Instruction from 8:15am to 3:12pm
• Virtual support from school principal and/or teacher
• In-person support from District partner and/or support staff

ONLINE SELF-GUIDED EDMENTUM

• Student paces instruction for his/her schedule
• Instruction whenever student logs on
• No SLPS teacher support
• Tech support provided by Edmentum

ONE-TO-ONE TECHNOLOGY

In order to break down the digital divide, the District has committed to one-to-one technology. Every student in K-8 will be issued an iPad to use for learning. Every student in grades 9-12 will be issued a laptop. Hotspots are available for any family who needs one. For assistance, email techhelp@slps.org.
