Mrs. Sabrina Bevineau Mack
Welcome to Adams School! My name is Sabrina Bevineau Mack, and I am delighted to be your child’s second grade teacher! I have taught in the St. Louis Public School System for twenty-eight years. I am looking forward to a full year of fun, learning and adventures.
Learning to read fluently and decode words will be a focus during the school day. We will spend over 150 minutes a day engaged in literacy activities. We have new Math and Reading curriculum. I believe your child will love and be successful as we explore and engage in the MyView Literacy and Envision Math 2.0.
If you need to contact me, you can call the school and leave me a message. You are welcome to call or text my cellular phone also. I am truly looking forward to a wonderful, productive year and working with you.
I will send home a monthly newsletter. There may be times when I need to send additional notes so please check folders and backpacks daily. Your child should keep a two-pocket folder in his/her backpacks to bring home daily work. One side is marked Keep, take that material out and keep it at home. The side marked Return usually requires a signature or your attention. Your notes to me should be placed in this side also.
Homework in second grade is about developing responsibility in our children and reinforcing concepts taught in class. I usually send assignments home on Monday, and they are due back on Friday. You can always take the weekend to complete any projects or assignments if you need the extra time. Your child should read every night also.
