Welcome to the 2019-20 school year!

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Albert J. Sanders and I am honored to be your child’s Pre-K teacher. This is my 20th year of teaching,  and I am so excited to be here. I previously taught third grade here at Adams.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead.

I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. You can send me a note, email me at albert.sanders@slps.org or call me at 314-535-3910 (school). For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone, send a note home, via Remind app or email you (if an email address is provided).

My assistant, Ms. Valerie Wells, has worked with district for over 20 years.  She has worked with Pre-K for many years as well as many other grade levels. This is her 6th year at Adams Elementary.

Please feel free to participate in your child’s preschool year as much as you are able. Helping hands are always needed in the class and the school. Whether it is reading a story to the class, helping with field trips, or any other participation will enrich our classroom experiences.

I am looking forward to a wonderful and exciting year with you and your child!

    Sincerely,

Dr. Albert Sanders/ Mrs. Valerie Wells

Some important information to start off the year:

***Homework will require parental involvement at this level. Each packet will given out the first day of the school week and due the last day of the week.  Your cooperation is essential in developing a positive homework habit.

***Attendance is important in Pre-K. What we do in class involves active participation, it is very important that your child attends each day. However, I do realize that sickness, family emergencies, and doctor’s appointments do occur. Please contact us to let us know of any and all absences.

That is it for now! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns as the school year gets started.

This is a quote that inspires me to teach…….

"A hundred years from now, it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank...but the world may be a better place because I made a difference in the life of a child." -- Forest Witchcraft
