Here's the link to access our classroom on Microsoft Teams. The Microsoft Teams app can be downloaded for free to your personal device as well for easy access.

All assignments have been updated to include links to websites.

Update (4/5/20)

Hello Families,

Tomorrow is the start of our distance learning online. Assignments have been added to the assignments tab on this website and also on Microsoft Teams. I will also begin weekly check ins with you and your scholarthis week. My office hours are posted under the schedule tab on this website. All emails and messages from the weekend will be answered Monday morning.

Assignments for this week are a review from topics we were working on before Spring Break. We will use the technology resources that the students have been using all year in class. The only new piece is Microsoft Teams. I'm hopeful that we will get used to Teams quickly. All assignments are due by Friday at 4pm. This week, I will be able to check for completion using the resources provided. There will be nothing from students to be turned in. I will discuss any incomplete work during conferences the following week.

If you are still waiting on an ipad or internet, learning packets for the new week will be available at food distribution locations. These will be different from the assignments I'm assigning but will still cover the same learning standards. They are a great way to keep your scholar engaged in learning if technology isn't available or working. I would suggest picking one up just in case.

Please remember that I am here to help you and your family navigate online learning. Feel free to reach out through call, text, email or Class Dojo if you need help or have questions.

Update (3/30/20) Please make sure you have completed the Technolgy Needs survey. Click here to access the survey. The district is working very hard to make sure the students have what they need to be successful.

I will begin assigning work next week for students to complete.  Work will posted on Microsft Teams and in the Assignments tab on the left of this website. We are still working everything out so more information will be coming soon.

Please let me know if there's anything I can help you with.

Hello 4th Grade Families,

During this time of school closure, it is important that your scholar is still engaged in learning while we are not together. SLPS will continue to provide breakfast and lunch to families. Starting Monday, March 23, you will also be able to pick up work packets at these locations. These packets have educational worksheets for your child as well as a sample schedule to help manage their time. These packets can be found on www.slps.org/keeponlearning along with other resources from our Academic Team. Another packet was sent home Friday before Spring Break from me as well that students can work on.

On this page, I will update you on the current assignments for students. I am also going to provide links to the online resources we use in our classroom. Students should know their logins but you can email or text me if they forgot. I'm happy to send over the information.

It is important that your student reads for at least 20 minutes a day. An added benefit would be if you asked them comprehension questions about the setting, characters, problem and solution, and summarizing what they read. Another suggestion is to have your child practice their multiplication facts daily. They should know facts 1-12 in a snap.

Please check back to this webpage for updated information for our class as we move forward during this time.

I hope you stay safe and healthy!
