BE SAFE. BE HEALTHY, AND NEVER STOP LEARNING!
Hello and WELCOME to my page on Carnahan High School of the Future! My name is Cheryl Kuehner-Barger (Ms. Barger) and I am beyond proud to be a part of the Carnahan Family! This is my 14th year teaching and I received my Bachelor's in Special Education from the University of St. Louis then proceeded to receive my Master's in Special Education from Fontbonne University.
I am an educator by title, but education is not just a "career" it is a true passion that holds me exactly where I feel I was meant to be. It is a calling, a role, a chance to make a difference in lives, and most of all it allows me to continue my life long learning quest to LEARN FROM each and every student I have the honor to encounter whether this be in my classroom or just passing in the halls.
I have a personal connection to the world of special education that gives me a true knowledge of my students, their families, and everyone that has any type of support role in their life. It is my mission to instill into my students that there is NOTHING they cannot do. Some students may learn "differently" but they ALL have the ability to learn. It is my goal as an educator for students of all abilities, differences, and cultures to achieve success. Success must be celebrated no matter how small because those little successes are stepping stones to bigger successes of their future!
I am proud to call myself a member of the Carnahan Family! I strive for excellence not only for myself but most importantly for each and EVERY student at Carnahan High School of the Future!
