Welcome to the Sigel Elementary School Website
The Franz Sigel Elementary Community Education Center was named in honor of General Franz Sigel, a prominent Civil War officer from Missouri. Sigel has been functioning as an elementary school since its construction in 1905. The attendance area is bounded by I-44 to the north, California to the west, Gravois to the South, and 18th Street to the east. Sigel enrolls approximately 230 students in grades preschool - 6th grade. 100% of our students receive free and reduced lunch and qualify for Title I services.
Sigel Elementary enjoys a committed staff, curious students, and collaborative parents. We are delighted you decided to visit our website. Hopefully, you will take this opportunity to browse through our site to learn more about our school, the administrators, the staff, and many of our school projects.
We are very proud of our school and remain committed to our students, our parents, and our community. Wonderful things are always happening at Sigel as we focus on maintaining a challenging and positive school environment where every child can achieve and succeed.
