Hello and welcome, Carnahan Students and Families!

I’m Izzy Porter, the Art teacher at Carnahan STEAM Middle School, where I’ve had the pleasure of teaching for the past two years. I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s in Art Education and I have a deep passion for helping students discover and express their creativity. I believe art provides a unique outlet for students to explore and process their emotions while having fun in the process. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every student feels empowered to embrace the creative journey and develop their artistic skills. I look forward to an exciting year!
