     Welcome to Metro for the 2024-25 school year!

    Hi! I am Elizabeth Chambers, and I’ve been teaching ELA at Metro since 2001. I currently teach IB World Literature and Honors English 9 and I sponsor Metro Women’s Association and Metro’s Poetry Club. While I am a proud native New Mexican, I have lived in Missouri for 27 years. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, gardening, biking, and traveling the world.  I also love spending time with my family, friends, and silly Australian Cattle Dog mix, Reya.  I love being a Metro teacher and can’t wait to meet you all!
