    Greetings Metro Students and Families!

On behalf of the Metro Team, we look forward to welcoming new families and reconnecting with returning families.

I am excited to begin my second year at Metro Academic and Classical High School. As principal, I aim to honor tradition and continue excellence by building off the rich legacy that has shaped Metro into the unique and thriving school it is today. Further, my work as an educator is driven by a deeply held commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.  With that said, I am dedicated to ensuring that ALL members of the Metro family feel seen, heard, valued, know that they matter, and most importantly, know that they belong.

Last year, we implemented several initiatives to enhance the Metro experience that we hope to continue and expand this school year. These initiatives include school-wide community service days, elective credit advancement through Edmentum and the Metro Learning Academy. In addition to these initiatives, we plan to continue, as a school team, we have added several new courses to give students a wide variety of offerings that align with their interests. The courses added include AP Pre-Calculus, AP English Language and Composition, IB Sports Exercise, Music History, and Multi-Media.

This school year, we are excited to welcome new faculty joining the Metro Team.  Please welcome, Mr. Grant Parker - English; Mr. Zachary Colonius - Math; Mrs. Maria-Elisa Dulcey - Spanish; and Mr. Chad Harmon - Art.

The Metro Team is deeply committed to providing our students with the best academic experience and being your partner in education to ensure that ALL our students succeed. We look forward to seeing students on the first day of school on August 21, 2023.

    Your partner in education,

    Dr. Tina Hamilton
