    About Ms. Bardot
Ms. Bardot is a native St. Louisan. After homeschooling her own three scholars, she taught in another district as she furthered her education. Ms. Bardot joined the SLPS team in 2011 as an inaugural team member of Humboldt Academy.  As a teacher, she values the individual uniqueness of every scholar. She works with the scholar and his/her family to develop skills in leadership, self-determination, self-discipline, as well as develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

When not at school, Ms. Bardot can usually be found outside. She enjoys working in her National Wildlife Federation-certified garden and her vegetable garden. Reading, hiking, camping with her family, and traveling- specifically to the coasts (and all points between) to visit family members are some of her hobbies.  Iris, Ms. Bardot's bearded dragon, often accompanies her wherever she goes.

Ms. Bardot brings to discussions current events and shares some of her experiences with scholars: to show the benefits of being able to laugh at yourself, everyone makes mistakes (learn from them), you never know someone's story by just looking at them, planning- and working the plan- are essential life skills, and that while life can be unpredictable and throw you lemons (make lemonade, lemon pie, or lemon-scented cleaner), the individual determines the outcome.

Ms. Bardot is the proud mom of three sons who all chose STEM careers. Chip is a software engineer here in St. Louis; Paul is a computer engineer in California; and David is a ceramic/nuclear engineering student at Missouri S&T.
