Class: World Literature with an emphasis on African American Literature

I began my collegiate career at St. Louis Community College- Forest Park, wherein 2018 I obtained my Associate in Arts General Transfer Studies. I then transferred to the Unversity of Missouri- St. Louis.

While at UMSL, I began in education with a work-study job as a tutor in the SLPS district with the E. Desmond Lee Regional Institute of Tutorial Education. I had the opportunity to study French abroad in 2019 in Strasbourg, France, with the French Department at UMSL. When I returned from France, E. Desmond Lee Tutorial Services appointed me as a Writing Coach, and I worked in conjunction with the SLU TRIO Program in the SLPS.

I served as the Editor-in-Chief of the undergraduate literary magazine at UMSL-- LITMAG, while also serving on the Business Operations Committee. I graduated from UMSL in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Creative Writing Certificate, and a Professional Writing Certificate.

I am currently pursuing my Master of Art in Teaching at Saint Louis University. This new and wonderful MAT program at SLU allows me to teach for SLPS at Vashon High School while learning to teach.
