Mrs. Patricia Creek

This is my third year to be a part of the Buder family!  I am absolutely honored to be your child’s 4th grade teacher.

I grew up in St. Louis and I am the product of the public-school system, as well as state and private universities.  I received my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Fontbonne University. Before coming to Buder, I taught in the Ritenour School District and in the Webster Groves School District.

I have been married for twenty-six years to my husband, Richard, and have two children, Michael and Emily.  Michael is 22 years old, a senior business major at Missouri State University, and the starting Goalkeeper for MO State University’s soccer.  Emily is 19 years old, a sophomore interior design major at University of Arkansas.  We also have an 9-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever, named Hope.  Richard and I enjoy riding motorcycles (yes, my own motorcycle), swimming, playing and walking with our dog, Hope, reading, and watching our kids continue to grow into young adults.  I am also an avid college and professional sports fan.

Educational Philosphy

If you are not willing to learn, no one can make you.  If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you! ~unknown~

I am only a part of anyone child's success.  I provide the quidance of rigorous and hands-on learning; however, it is the community of teachers, administrators, parents and their child that allows the child to utimately reach their fullest potential.

It is my goal to foster a classroom community where students enjoy the journey of learning, feel safe to make mistakes, learn from them, accept and be responsible for learning, and are accepting perceptives of others to help each other grow academically and socially.  Having parental support and open lines of communication is an essential part of this success.

As their teacher, I believe, though each child grows at a different pace and in different ways, each child can make growth and progress.
