Mrs. Patricia Creek

This is my fifth year to be a part of the Buder family!  I am absolutely honored to be your child’s 3rd grade teacher.

I grew up in St. Louis and I am the product of the public-school system, as well as state and private universities.  I received my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Fontbonne University. Before coming to Buder, I taught in the Ritenour School District and in the Webster Groves School District.

I have been married for twenty-eight years to my husband, Richard, and have two children, Michael and Emily.  Michael is 24 years old, a graduate of Missouri State University in Business, and the Goalkeeper for MLS - St. Louis City 2.  Emily is 21 years old, a senior interior design major at the University of Arkansas.  We also have an 11-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever, named Hope.  Richard and I enjoy riding motorcycles (yes, my own motorcycle - see my video), swimming, playing and walking with our dog, Hope, reading, and watching our kids continue to grow into young adults.  I am also an AVID college and professional sports fan.

Educational Philosphy

If you are not willing to learn, no one can make you.  If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you! ~Zig Ziglar~

I am only a part of a child's success.  I provide guidance for rigorous and hands-on learning; however, it is the community of teachers, administrators, parents and their child that allows the child to ultimately reach their fullest potential.

It is my goal to foster a classroom community where students enjoy the journey of learning, feel safe to make mistakes, learn from them, accept and be responsible for learning, and accept perspectives of others to help each other grow academically and socially.  Having parental support and open lines of communication is an essential part of this success.

As their teacher, I believe, though each child grows at a different pace and in different ways, each child can make growth and progress.
