• During this difficult time, I wanted to make available some sites and contact information to help your children continue to learn and grow as our schools are closed for everyone's health.

First, please feel free to reach out of me at any time. I will attempt to give the most thorough answer as quicly as possible. The prefered methods of contact are e-mail at Brittanie.Clement@slps.org and on classdojo.com. Most of our fourth grade families are connected to class dojo but if you are not, please send me an e-mail and I will quickly get you the codes to connect. I have been sending additional resources and information via our classdojo.

Also, if you have not already done so, join our Buder Elementary School facebook site and facebook.com. Our principal, Anna Russell, posts information and resources there regularly. You can also join the facebook site for the PTO at Buder Elementary PTO.

Another useful site for information would be slps.org. The district has been posting information about the school closures, continued learning, and where to go to pick up meals that students are missing during the closures. Visit slps.org/keeponlearning to have access to enrichment packets that the district department leaders have compiled to help your children continue to learn. These packets have already been printed and are available for pick-up at all SLPS meal pick-up locations. The closest school sites to Buder offering this service are Malinkrodt, Oak Hill, and Long Middle Schools. There are also roughly 35 other locations throughout the city that are offering meals and enrichment packets from 10-12 Monday-Friday. Please see slps.org for more information regarding specific locations.

Last, please see the other resources tab of my teacher site for other learning resources that have been sent out via class dojo and which your children have accounts created.

We know that this is a frightening and confusing time for everyone and the SLPS community is here to help in any way we can. Please do not hesitate to reach out to teachers, administrators, and the district itself with any questions or needs you may have. Stay healthy everyone!

    *Update March 26, 2020

It has been announced that SLPS schools will be closed through April 22, 2020. We are now moving to distance learning via Microsoft Teams at teams.microsoft.com and Zoom at zoom.us. I have sent student usernames and passwords to everyone connected to Classdojo. If you are not yet connected to our class dojo pages, please do so as soon as possible. If you have technology needs during this time such as a wifi-hotspot or an iPad, please contact the district offices at 314-231-3720.

My office hours will be Monday- Friday from 8-9 am and from 12-1 pm. During this time I will be online and available to answer questions through Teams, Zoom, Classdojo, or email. On Mondays these office hours will be conducted on Zoom where I will go over the week's lesson and assignments both at 8 am and at noon. Hopefully, students can tune in at one of those times. If not, the lesson powerpoint will be posted to the teams page so students and families olways have access to the lesson.
