Greetings, 7th graders! I am excited to go through a year of exploring science with you!

This is my 5th year with SLPS, and my 5th year at Compton-Drew. Before coming to C-D, I taught 7th grade science in another local district for two years. Before that, I was an Educator/Interpreter in the then-brand-new GROW gallery with our neighbors- the St. Louis Science Center. I am honored to be part of the Compton-Drew ILC family!

Born in St. Louis right down the street at Barnes Hospital, I have spent most of my life in the metropolitan St. Louis area. I have two grown children, both of them college graduates with jobs in STEM fields (one in engineering, one in neuroscience and computers.) When I am not at Compton-Drew, I enjoy learning even more about science, taking graduate-level classes to become a Reading Specialist, volunteering at the Missouri Botanical Garden, and connecting with family.
