About Me

I was born and raised in St. Louis. I am an alumni of St. Louis Public Schools. I graduated from Fontbonne University with a degree in Early Childhood. I began my teaching career for SLPS in 2011 as a Pre-K teacher. I do have any children but, I do have a cute puppy dog. Teaching is truly my calling and I am very happy that I choose this path in life.

Outside of the classroom I like to watch and play soccer, spend time outdoors and travel. Although, right now I don’t get to travel much L. I plan to retire to Hawaii in a little hut close to the ocean.

                    Welcome!! My name is Miss Zimmerman and I will be your child’s teacher this year, along with Mrs. Jones.  I am very excited to welcome your child virtually to the Monster’s Inc. classroom!

     Each child is responsible for the following items:

    • A Virtual Learning Kit (provided)
    • iPad                                                           

                   The students are entrusted to keep both the learning kit and the iPad safe. Please keep all learning materials together so that students can quickly use them during our lessons. I will have a separate list of items that I will ask for you once we all return to classroom learning. I will notify you of the items as well as update the items listed above.  

    During virtual learning we will follow a daily schedule. I will provide recorded Read-A-Louds as well as live and/or recorded lessons.  If you have any questions please feel free to message on Dojo or e-mail I look forward to a good year!
