I am looking forward to the 2024-2025 school year!

This is my 27th year teaching at Buder. I am lucky enough to work with amazing students who are speakers of other languages.
 
I started out at Buder as a Special Education teacher.  After 15 years, another opportunity came up and I was able to study at Mizzou to be certified as an ESOL teacher and earn a Master's Degree.  This is my 11th year in that position.

I particularly enjoy working with such a great group of students, parents, teachers, and staff.  We make a fantastic team!  This school year, there are 3 ESOL teachers at Buder.  

Molly Brinkmann - Grades 2 and 5
Katie Avenevoli - Grades K and 1
Danielle Phelps - Grades 3 and 4

I work with children in several different grade levels. The teachers and I collaborate as much as we can in order to increase language proficiency.

I believe that all children can learn and I expect all of my students to do the very best they can.  

I enjoy reading and knitting in my free time.
