Mr. Benjamin Klocke
Hello parents, guardians, and family members,
I am excited about beginning my teaching career with your students. This year at McKinley should be very educational for everyone. It will be a return to a more normal school year. After the last two years, I think everyone is ready for a more stable learning environment.
I am familiar with McKinley and have worked with a number of students during my time as an apprentice teacher. For the students that I do know, I hope that I can continue to build upon the success of our previous year. For the students I have not worked with, I hope to learn more about their strengths and help them improve the critical math skills that they will rely on moving forward into high school and beyond. The students of McKinley are quite diverse and each one is entering my class with a different skill set. My goal is to adapt lessons to each students’ abilities in order to create the most impactful instruction possible.
I am a recent graduate of Webster University and completed my apprentice teaching at McKinley. I was also a student during COVID and the most important thing that I learned is that it is important to be flexible. I plan on bringing that knowledge into the classroom. Students also need to know what to expect when they enter the classroom each day and I will provide them with clear expectations and outlines for each lesson.
Thank you,
Mr. Benjamin Klocke
