Virtual Expectations and Resources

As virtual learners, you will need to be mindful of your actions while online with your teacher and peers. It is important to remember your responsibilities as a student of McKinley and my classroom.
- Be Safe will encompass:
- Use the iPad as it is intended and for school work only.
- Place the iPad in a safe and secure environment when it is not being used.
- Keep FOOD and DRINKS away from the device! It is VERY IMPORTANT to follow this rule!
- Follow ALL district rules and guidelines when using the iPad.
- Be Respectful will encompass:
- Listen to others when they are speaking; don't interrupt.
- Use the "Raise Hand" function when you have a question or would like to speak.
- The 'mute option' will be selected at various instructional times so please refrain from clicking on it as your attention should be on me and the new content for the day.
- Stay on task and topic.
- Positive comments only! VERY IMPORTANT to follow this rule as well!
- Follow ALL district rules and guidelines when using the iPad.
- Be Responsible will encompass:
- iPad will be FULLY charged before each school day/class period.
- Arrive on time/join Teams or Zoom meeting for class at least 2 minutes prior to the start of class.
- Be prepared with textbook, homework, paper, and pencil.
- Actively participate in classroom discussion and ask questions if needed.
- Complete assignments by due date and submit per teacher's instructions.
- Follow ALL district rules and guidelines when using the iPad.
Please make sure you follow these rules and guidelines and failure to do so could result in an office referral.

FREE resource to watch tutorials and videos on math skills and concepts learned in the classroom!
Choose your math grade level; for example, course 2 is 7th grade and course 3 is 8th grade. At the end of the videos, answer the questions to check your understanding.
