All of our assignments can be found in the Teams app at  You will need your district login to access this (have your parent email me to request your login if you have forgotten).  Some assignments are only available in Teams (due to copyright protections).  Some assignments will require written answers that will need to be submitted in the Teams app.
Some directions for the assignments are listed in the classes to the left.  Again, not all of the inforamtion is included as it has to be provided on a password protected page (like Teams).

Mr. Herron is in his fourteenth year as Choir Director at Gateway Middle School. He taught the previous ten years at Pruitt Military Academy. He has served as rehearsal assistant, music reading instructor, and accompanist with The St. Louis Children’s Choirs. Mr. Herron earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master’s degree in Music Education at the University of Missouri, St. Louis. He has done additional study at the University of Missouri, Columbia. In the fall of 2017, he received Level 1 Certification in Choral Music Education from the Institute for Choral Teacher Education. He was honored in “Who’s Who Among American Teachers” in 2005 & 2006.   He is also an Adobe Education Trainer.
He serves as President for the non-profit organization Scottish Partnership for Arts and Education.  He served as the Middle School Choral Vice-President for the St. Louis Metro District Music Educators Association for 6 years as well as serving as the Metro District #8 representative to the Board of the Missouri Choral Directors Association for 2 years.  He is a docent for Opera Theatre of St. Louis.  He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the Missouri Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, the Missouri Music Educators Association, Phi Delta Kappa International, the Association for Middle Level Education, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the International Society for Technology in Education.
