Biography: Hey everyone, my name is Xavier Diaz and I am one of the 8th grade American History teachers here at Gateway. I was born and raised in Kansas City where I graduated high school from Lee's Summit West. I went college at Truman State University where I earned by bachelors in History. After graduating college I moved to St. Louis. I've been married for 2 years and have a son named Agustín who will celebrate his 1st birthday in October.

This will be my fourth year teaching and second year at Gateway. I am passoniate about history and believe studying history is the key understanding the world in which we live. I look foward to spending the next year with your kids and getting to know them!
