Nick Tarpinian
Hello students and families! My name is Nick Tarpinian, and this is my second year teaching at Roosevelt. I was born and raised in St. Charles, but have lived in St. Louis for 6 years now. I have an older brother and sister, and am an uncle to one niece. I have always loved learning, science, playing games (board, card, and video), and I am a passionate advocate for many social justice issues. My partner and I have been together for almost 10 years and we share our home with 3 dogs - one small, one medium, and one large.
This will be my third year with St. Louis Public Schools, but my second at Roosevelt High School. Previously, I taught 7th grade science at Long International Middle School. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) in 2019, and shortly thereafter joined the St. Louis Teacher Residency to receive my teaching certification and pursue my Master's in Education from Washington University - which I completed over the summer of 2022.
I teach Ecology, Botany/Zoology, and Project Lead the Way's Principles of Biomedical Science. I am so happy to begin our educational journey together! On this page you will find information about my classes - each class has a tab on the left.
Please feel free to reach out to me via email with any questions, concerns, or for anything you might need. I regularly check my email and try to respond within 24 hours.
Thank you for visiting my page and for joining me for an awesome year at Roosevelt!
