Dr. Krystal Manka
Hey there!
My name is Dr. Krystal Manka; my pronouns are she/her.
This is my fourth year teaching in SLPS, but I have been teaching since 2004!
Before I moved to Missouri, I taught at an alternative school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have taught almost every subject both in person and online.
This year, I will be teaching special education math classes and co-teaching with some amazing math teachers at Roosevelt again.
I grew up in a small town in Northern Illinois, where I lived on a farm with my mom and my younger sister. I moved to Iowa after completing my undergraduate degree in 2004 and lived there with my husband, our son, and our boxer dog until we all relocated to Missouri in the summer of 2022 to be closer to family.
In my free time, I enjoy reading books, playing roller derby, playing and watching D&D, and spending time with my family - especially playing board games and video games.
