    Innovative, interactive and engaging virtual learning experience for KG - 6th grade St. Louis Public School students! 

    St. Louis Public Schools is excited to offer multiple enrollment options for the 2021-2022 school year and beyond. To ensure families have as much information as possible prior to making an enrollment decision regarding virtual learning, here are some important things to know:

    • SLPS Virtual Academy @ Dunbar is a full-time, 5-day per week, 100% virtual school, for elementary students in grades K-6 only.
    • All courses will be taught by certified and talented SLPS teachers with a proven track record of student success in virtual learning.
    • SLPS Virtual Academy @ Dunbar will have dedicated administrative and counseling services to ensure the needs of the whole child and family are met.
    • At this time, SLPS families with students in grades 7th – 12th looking for 100% virtual enrollment, may explore the MOCAP option. Click here for more information.     Parents/Guardians: Complete this form for EACH child you are requesting virtual enrollment for. Enrollment requests for KG - 6th students only. Note: this enrollment request form does not guarantee placement at the Virtual Academy. 

  • ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

    SLPS Virtual Academy @Dunbar is an exclusively virtual school campus with enrollment options for students from across the entire St. Louis City region. (Must have a valid St. Louis City address to enroll)

    • The virtual instructional school day is from 8:15am – 3:00pm.
    • Enrollment at the Virtual Academy is for the entire 2021-2022 school year.
    • The Virtual Academy @Dunbar will follow the SLPS 2021-2022 Academic Calendar.
    • When enrolling in the Virtual Academy @ Dunbar, it is highly recommended that an adult learning partner is available to support the student during virtual learning – especially for students in grades K-3.
    • If a student has an IEP or 504 plan, the IEP or 504 plan team will meet to decide if the Virtual Academy @Dunbar offers the best learning environment for student success. 
    • If a student is an English language learner, the ESOL team will meet to decide if the Virtual Academy @ Dunbar offers the best learning environment for student success.
    • 90% or higher attendance and engagement are required in virtual learning. Lack of engagement, lack of adequate progress, or poor attendance may result in withdrawal from the Virtual Academy.
