	High School Students will explore their passion in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math through one of five exciting STEAM Adventures!

	Traditional STEAM Fair 
 Students select a project aligned with STEAM Fair categories (Engineering, Model, Research, Experiment) and work from September to January. Projects are presented at the school STEAM Fair, and top-scoring entries may advance to the Academy of Science St. Louis Science Fair.Scroll to the bottom of this page for more information about the Traditional STEAM Fair Project. PLTW Capstone 
 Seniors enrolled in Project Lead The Way (PLTW) capstone courses complete their year-long projects and present at their school’s STEAM Fair for feedback. After refining their work, they will present again at the PLTW Senior Showcase in April. When registering for a STEAM Adventure, students should select "PLTW Senior Capstone" as an option.Robotics 
 Students at Gateway High School, McKinley, Collegiate, and Sumner can join their school's FTC robotics team. Teams compete in local and regional events, then present their robot and design process at the school STEAM Fair for feedback and celebration. Students participating in their school's robotics program should select "Robotics" when completing the STEAM Fair Application.Gateway Arch Engineering Contest 
 Students in Engineering CTE Courses may have the opportunity to participate in the Gateway Arch Engineering Contest. Engineering classes visit the Gateway Arch National Park to receive a real-world design challenge. Teams develop innovative solutions and present them at a November showcase. Projects are also featured at the school STEAM Fair in exhibition format. Students who are participating in this project will select the "Gateway Arch Engineering Contest" when completing the STEAM Fair Application.Saturday Scholars 
 Students apply to the Saturday Scholars program hosted by Washington University. After a pre-application in October and full application in December, selected students attend immersive STEM sessions in February and March, gaining college-level experience and mentorship. Students who wish to participate will select "Saturday Scholars" when completing the STEAM Fair Application. Please note if a student is not accepted into the program through the pre-application, another STEAM Adventure will need to be chosen.
