• Volunteer Week

Saint Louis Public Schools is showing appreciation for our volunteers during National Volunteer Week - April 16th - 22nd.  We are extremely grateful for all of the work our volunteers have performed and completed during the 2022-2023 school year!  Whether it was directly supporting students with tutoring/reading/mentoring or simply being present on field trips or during special events, we have truly been made a better learning institution because of your commitment and dedication.

Beginning Monday April 17th, we will feature a handful of special volunteers and partners who have inspired so many others to serve and support SLPS students and families.  The stories are familiar, they are caring, they are passionate, and we are humbled by their overall generosity.  You give our children and our schools one of the most valuable gifts - You give us your time!  This year, a volunteer hour is estimated to be worth $29.95.  During the pandemic and since volunteer restrictions were reduced (March 2022), volunteers have amassed and donated an estimated $1.5million dollars worth of their time and talent.  We are honored that you have chosen SLPS.  This week, we will hear a different story each day but they will all share at least one thing in common - their efforts are selfless and their mission is to support SLPS!
