Second-graders Kaliyah Page (left) and Dominic Krill of Oak Hill Elementary School in St. Louis glue cutouts of their hands onto a poster Friday that will be included in a care package of cards and letters for Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. The school also raised $200 for Sandy Hook’s scholarship fund. Each class collected pennies toward that scholarship. This second-grade class collected the most — $40.09 — and was rewarded with a popcorn party.
